CU Transit App Reviews

I love this app. It helps me navigate through all of Champaign and Urbana. The bus times are always updated so that you know if a bus is behind schedule. It also allows you to type in a place you would like to go and then gives you several options of how to get there. It knows my location so know matter where I am, it can point to me to the nearest bus stop for a route home.

This is a simple, well-designed, and feature filled CUMTD app. This is how the rest should be made. I gave up on transit apps for Champaign-Urbana after I discovered they were all pretty bad and just stuck a web link to the CUMTD website on my springboard. This, however is my new go to app for buses. I have an iPod Touch 4G especially like how it has the Stopwatch codes stored already. I cant tell you how many times Ive needed a Stopwatch code reference while stranded in a no-wifi zone. You can also view a route map for each bus that is superimposed on Google Maps and not just CUMTDs rather messy bus route maps, and you can even see where a bus is on the superimposed map. (Albeit, the bus location updates sporadically. See below. ) A few suggestions and comments for the developer: -Perhaps display the Stopwatch code for stops on the Bookmark list -Alphabetical ordering of the Bookmark list would be nice -I dont know if this is CUMTDs issue or one with the app but the current bus location pin when viewing a route map tends to only update every minute, no matter how many times the refresh button is pressed. Again, this might be a limitation presented by CUMTDs GPS system and not an issue with the app itself.

I give it 4 stars since just starting to use it. I love the maps and trip planner. Keep improving it as you get feedback.

Excellent app that is functional, lots of features, yet still very easy to use.

Wow. Ive been waiting for exactly this!! Like others Ive been just saving the results from the usual web page searches to my home screen, which is okay, but a real app with features like this is just what Ive been hoping someone would write.

I have tried all of the bus stop apps for MTD and this is the best by far I have used! Mu favorite for sure!

I never usually review apps, but i think this app deserves a 5-star review. This is the best app for MTD. It has all the infotmation that the website has. So cool!

This app is the easiest way to ride MTD buses. As long as MTDs servers are running, you can get all the bus times. And the favorite page let quick access to bus stops.

I use this app every day. I love the map to see where the bus is compared to my stop.

This app does not help plan a trip. I tried entering two addresses and it couldnt recognize any of them. I even tried the Illini Unions address and it failed as well.

Hi, guys, When will this app support IOS 6s map for public transit? I really like this app.

Good interface, useful features, except the routes are not up to date. I have had two updates since the routes changed an they are still the old routes.

Time is not accurate Interface not well designed

Have been using it past three weeks to learn the bus system. Very helpful to save and see next departures. Also like the route info and see the route plus your position on the map. Main issues are no system map and the trip planner appears to be broken right now with apples new maps.

The location of the bus stops needs some updating.

Not a perfect app, but it helps me everyday. Thats why 5 stars. Keep it up!

great great app. simple and intuitive.

Though I had exact addresses this app wouldnt recognize any location I entered. I spent 30 minutes attempting to search for any route at all and still couldnt get directions. Ugh!!

I dont know ho this app does it but it is accurate! Ece when the bs is late! And the ms and routes are extremely helpful.

Very nice app. I bookmark the stops I frequently use and I get very accurate departure times. Not good for routing at all! I use google maps transit routing and then this app to check the accurate timings. Very good overall.
